Very dear friends, Aboona Anthony and Ramia,

"Well done thy good and faithful servant(s)"
You two are very special parents who showed Lucia (and all of us) the most love and devotion and profound faith, in the most difficult of scenerios. We will always remember Lucia's great strength, as well, and all that we learned from this angel on Earth.
Our hearts are truly with you.
    Allah Yirhama, sweet Lucia.
Lucia is your adoring angel in heaven. She smiles at you now and for always.

We love you and pray with you.

With tears I offer my deepest sympathies on your loss. She was an angel here on earth and her short life was an inspiration and gave us all great perspective. I know that Lucia was a gift even to those who never met her, because she taught us so much. Fr Anthony and Ramia, your daughter changed lives, she will never be forgotten.

My heart deeply aches for you but is comforted that Lucia is in His Heavenly Kingdom, away from all sickness and sorrow. She is among our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, His Mother, St. Lucia and all the Saints, where she belongs in peace and comfort. It is amazing to think that now she is the one praying for us.

Fr. Anthony and Ramia, I love you both dearly and have a special place in my heart for your sweet daughter who I was never blessed to meet although I feel as if I know. Thank you for the gift of your words, beautiful pictures and sweet videos that have made Lucia a part of all of our lives. I pray that God grants you peace and comfort knowing that Lucia watches over you from Heaven.

I weep for your loss and rejoice that Christ is Risen. I don't have the words to comfort you but offer my love. My priest once told me that we love our children because we suffer for them. No doubt you have suffered and no doubt your love is great.

Your daughter awaits you in a glorious place....where sickness and suffering had fled away.

Thank you for having Lucia. Her life was more meaningful in 5 months than many in a lifetime.

  62. I write this from the Birth Centre where I work as a midwife. Thank you Ramia, and thank you Lucia for walking this journey. As wrenching as it has been (and still will be), Lucia's little life will save others, I am convinced. With this blog, I have something concrete to show families whose little ones have Trisomy 18, and who are frequently only offered abortion as a means to deal with it. Vechnaya pamyat, vechnaya pamyat, vechnaya pamyat, may she rest forever in the light of Christ.

  77. Some words from the beloved Saint John Maximovitch (I read them recently, and felt drawn to share them...):
"...the infants [who have passed away] make the following confession: 'We have passed by the evil spirits without suffering any harm. For the dark custom officials saw our spotless body and were put to shame; they saw the soul - good and pure - and were embarrassed; they saw the tongue immaculate and pure and blameless and they were silenced; we passed by and humiliated them. This is why the holy angels of God who met and received us rejoiced, the righteous greeted us with joy and the saints with delight said, 'Welcome, the lambs of Christ!'"
May Lucia, Child of Light, and Lamb of Christ, always be close in your hearts, dear parents. Our sincerest condolences for your extreme loss. May the Panaghia wrap her comforting arms around all three of you in a warm embrace. Memory eternal!
